maquette for kinetic installation

materials: discarded bicycle wheels, DC gearhead, motor, battery, wire, tape, plywood, counterweights

Cycle is an open system which runs amok, where the orderly motion of an electric motor generates complex, unpredictable behaviour. This is accomplished via the interaction (competition) of continously shifting dual competing centers of gravity (two-body problem?). The less obvious being the battery ballasting the pair of wheels and the other a slowly rotating weight (hammer).
